Elite Host Hotel:
Race Championship Hotel: Hampton Inn Commack - Roughly 10 miles from the race sight
Additional Lodging Location: Chalet Inn & Suites Centerport - 2 miles from the race site
Elite Athlete Housing:
Invited athletes may be placed at 1 of our 2 race hotels. An Athlete's race information, such as their qualifying times or other factors will be used to determine the lodging. Any athlete seeking lodging must be officially registered by September 3rd. Lodging will be provided up to 2 nights (arriving no sooner than Thursday), lodging allocation is at the sole discretion of the elite recruiter and lodging team. Limited rooms are available
All Fly In Atheletes must fly in and out of JFK and will be instructed on how to use Aitrain and the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) on how to arrive into Huntington on Thursday. Transportation will be provided to one of the hotels. Athletes who fly into LGA will need to arrange their own transportion. Once offically registered our Lodging team will be in contact with you.
Transportation will be provided from the race hotels to and from the race sight Saturday morning and to the Friday Technical Meeting if staying at the Chalet Inn & Suites.
USATF 10K National Championship Eligibility:
To be eligible for the USATF 10K National Championship, elite runners must:
- Be a US citizen.
- Have a current 2024 USATF membership.
- Provide a qualifying time equal to or better than the times noted below.
Qualifying Times for the USATF 10K Championship:
- Women: Sub 33:30
- Men: Sub 30:00
- The Elite Coordinator reserves the right to include other selected applications.
Elite Athlete Support Assistance:
- Lodging and travel assistance will be based on 10K qualifying times or equivalent.
- Qualifying times must be achieved from September 2022 to September 2024.
- All support assistance will be allocated at the sole discretion of the Elite Coordinator.
Elite Athlete Check-In and Number Pick-Up:
Friday, September 20th: Bib Pick is available at the technical meeting and elite pasta dinner.

USATF Technical Meeting:
Friday, September 20th: 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

- All athletes competing in the USATF Championship MUST attend.
Immediately following the technical meeting will be a dinner from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
10K Elite Race Start:
The starting line is located in front of the William J Brosnan Building on Laurel Avenue
- Elite Women - 8:30 a.m.
- Elite Men - 8:30 a.m.
Awards Ceremony:
- The award ceremonies will begin at 10:30 a.m. following the race.
- The ceremony will be held on the gazebo in Northport Village Cow Harbor Park.
- Top 10 awards will be distributed.
- Top 10 prize money will be mailed after USADA clearance.
Awards/Prize Structure:
USATF Championship medals and USATF Running Circuit points will be awarded to the top 10 men’s and women’s finishers.
In order to be eligible for championship awards, prize money, or USARC points, elite racers must be entered in advance in the USATF championships field and begin with the Elite start at 8:30 a.m.
Winners in the US 10K Championship will be determined by first
across the finish.
